12:2 Student &
Family MInistries

Grades 6-12

Don't Fit In.
Be Transformed.

The Apostle Paul wasn't subtle when he said, "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God change the way you think." (Rom 12:2) That's the heartbeat of our Students ministry.

We come alongside you as parents to help your teen be shaped by Jesus. We do that together, through relationships, milestones, and a community that takes transformation seriously without taking itself too seriously.

FAMILY MINISTRY
MILESTONES

Each stage of your child's spiritual journey brings it's own set of exciting adventures and challenges and we want to support you through them all!

Congratulations, you have a new baby! We want to celebrate with you and equip you in your new role as a parent! Join us for Baby D where we will talk together about your role as the primary faith trainers of your children. This gathering is a 2-part series offered for all families wishing to dedicate their children. Contact the office if you are interested in participating in our next gathering.
The big change in this phase is the beginning of formal schooling. This opens new worlds for your family, and at this gathering, our goal is to begin building a community among families embarking on this journey. We will introduce you to ways to weave faith into your everyday life and help you begin passing on a spiritual legacy through our Kindergarten Bible project.
The middle years are when kids are most likely to accept Jesus as their personal savior, and this milestone gathering will help parents and kids understand concepts like salvation, baptism, and communion. Parents gather to discuss ways to guide their children, and the kids will learn these concepts through hands-on experiences.
Your kids have completed the elementary years, and this is a time of change. They will move to middle school both at school and at church. This milestone gathering is designed to help you understand the changes happening for them, inside and out. You will also have the opportunity to affirm their spiritual journey through a teen Bible project.
As your child enters high school, they will begin to have a better sense of who they are. At this gathering, parents will discuss how they can help their teen stand firm in their beliefs amid the cultural pressures they face and help them see their true identity in Christ.
This is the time of increasing independence (think driver's licenses). At this milestone gathering, we will discuss how we help our teens establish healthy boundaries that empower them to make good choices.
Throughout this year, our goal is to help your teen find the tools and perspective they need as they face adulthood. We will partner with you to help them own their faith and build a foundation they can stand on for years to come.

As adults, we invite you to engage with our church family and continue to develop your faith by learning and serving together with us in any and every way you feel God is pulling you into His mission to move this generation from culture to Kingdom.

STUDENT AND FAMILY MINISTRY PASTOR

JAMIE BUCHANAN

Our Students Pastor discovered youth ministry through
a pastor who invested deeply in him as a teenager. That investment shaped everything.

Since then, he's served as a Youth Pastor, Children's Pastor, and church planter across both rural and urban contexts, always with the same conviction: students thrive when the adults around them pursue God authentically.

Interested in Volunteering?

Our current volunteer positions are filled. Please check back at a later date.
